Jede und jeder von uns verbindet wohl besondere Momente mit Franz Beckenbauer.Sei es die aufstrebende Jugendzeit beim FC Bayern, seinen maßgeblichen Anteil am Aufstieg von Bayern München aus der Zweitklassigkeit bis hin zum Weltpokalsieger, die erfolgreiche Zeit als Spieler und Teamchef bei der Nationalmannschaft mit den Krönungen der Weltmeisterschaften 1974 und 1990, seine Einsätze als Trainer beim FC Bayern oder die Ära als Vizepräsident, Präsident und späterer Ehrenpräsident unseresVereins.  FEIERLICHE ENTHÜLLUNG DES FRANZ BECKENBAUER DENKMALS Am 12. September 2025 wurde das Denkmal von Franz Beckenbauer feierlich enthüllt. Es würdigt einen der prägendsten Fußballer aller Zeiten, der nicht nur Generationen von Fans inspirierte, sondern auch den Weltfußball nachhaltig prägte. Neben der Familie von Franz Beckenbauer und den Verantwortlichen des FC Bayern folgten zahlreiche Freunde und Weggefährten der Einladung nach München – von den Bundesliga-Aufstiegshelden von 1965 über die Europapokalsieger der 1970er-Jahre bis hin zu den Weltmeistern von 1974 und 1990. Auch zahlreiche Fans und Fanclubs, die das Projekt mit Spenden unterstützt haben, waren vor Ort. Das Bronzedenkmal entstand innerhalb von 14 Monaten. Es ist 4,2 Meter hoch, wiegt 1,2 Tonnen und steht auf einem Sockel in Form der Bayern-Raute. Die Statue wurde von der Künstlerin Matilde Romagnoli gestaltet und in der traditionellen Kunstgießerei München gegossen. Der Sockel wurde von der Gugg Glocken- und Kunstgießerei aus Straubing gefertigt. Die Statue zeigt Franz Beckenbauer in einer aufrechten, souveränen Pose, den Ball leicht kontrollierend, den Blick weit über das Spielfeld gerichtet. Sie vermittelt seine Ruhe, Gelassenheit und Übersicht und symbolisiert seine Rolle als Dirigent und Regisseur des Spiels. Die Pose fängt Spielintelligenz, Präzision und technisches Können ein und verdeutlicht, wie Beckenbauer das Spiel zu lesen schien, noch bevor es stattfand. Die Wertschätzung für Gerd Müller, seine Begeisterung für den FC Bayern und der Respekt vor seinem Lebenswerk wurde in diesem Jahr mehr als deutlich. Sein Tod hat unzählige Menschen betroffen gemacht, die sich mit ihm verbunden fühlen. Die für uns in dieser Breite bisher unbekannte weltweite Anteilnahme zeigt auf, wieviele Herzen Gerd Müller erobert hat. Seine Verdienste werden nicht in Vergessenheit geraten und sind fest in der Geschichte des FC Bayern verankert. Gemeinsam mit euch wollen wir für den einzigartigen Gerd Müller etwas ganz Besonderes schaffen - das erste Denkmal für einen Spieler des FC Bayern in München! Für Gerd Müller - und zwar auf der Esplanade direkt vor der Arena! FEIERLICHE EINWEIHUNG DES DENKMALS ZU EHREN VON GERD MÜLLER Endlich war es soweit. Am 12. September 2023 wurde nach rund zwei Jahren intensiver Arbeit vor unserem Stadion das Denkmal zu Ehren von Gerd Müller feierlich enthüllt. Die in Zusammenarbeit mit dem renommierten Künstler Karel Fron entstandene Bronzestatue zeigt Gerd Müller in 1,5-facher Lebensgröße auf einer Bayern-Raute. Die Statue misst insgesamt 4,2 Meter und wiegt rund eine Tonne. Sie zeigt den „Bomber“ in seiner einzigartigen Jubelpose. Unser Ehrenpräsident Uli Hoeneß hielt vor Familie Müller, vielen früheren Mitspielern und Weggefährten sowie Fans des FC Bayern eine emotionale Rede zu diesem ganz besonderen Anlass. Wir bedanken uns von ganzem Herzen bei allen Fans und Fanclubs, die durch ihre großzügigen Spenden maßgeblich dazu beigetragen haben, dieses Projekt überhaupt erst möglich zu machen. Gemeinsam haben wir für den einzigartigen Gerd Müller etwas ganz Besonderes geschaffen - das erste Denkmal für einen Spieler des FC Bayern in München! Jetzt sitzt Kurt Landauer wieder lebensgroß auf einer Bank mit bestem Blick auf sein Lebenswerk. Die Haltung der linken Hand von Kurt Landauer erinnert an die Pose von Michelangelos berühmter David Statue, als Symbol des Sieges des Außenseiters über den Tyrannen Goliath sowie als Verweis auf seine jüdische Herkunft. Seine rechte Hand stützt Kurt Landauer auf die Betonbank – über einen Spalt, der - sieht man die Bank als Zeitstrahl - für den Zivilisationsbruch Nationalsozialismus steht. Die Zeit, über die unser Ehrenpräsident eine Brücke schlägt. Die Betonbank ist nicht nur gekrümmt wie eine Fankurve, in der Kurt Landauer unter den Fans sitzt, als Segment eines Kreises steht sie dafür, dass die Geschichte zu ihm zurückgekehrt ist, für seine Wiederentdeckung. Am Jacket von Landauer darf auch die Ehrennadel unseres Clubs nicht fehlen. WELCOME BACK, KURT LANDAUER! INAUGURATION OF THE MONUMENT ON SÄBENER STRASSE Kurt Landauer is back - in the middle of Säbener Strasse! We were very happy when we officially inaugurated our honorary president's monument in May 2019 and presented it as a gift to the unique history of FC Bayern. We don't need to tell much more about Kurt Landauer, his life and his love for FC Bayern, thanks to the years of commitment of some authors, fans, historians and other people, his story is finally remembered and world-famous. Säbener Straße is also connected everywhere with FC Bayern, where the club has been at home for over 70 years. Thanks to Kurt Landauer, who in 1949 - two years after his return from exile in Switzerland to Munich - ensured that his Bavarians could use a training ground again. “If you want to achieve something, you often have to go,” Kurt Landauer was quoted at the time, which makes clear his special commitment to the city of Munich and the American military government for Bayern Munich's own training ground. Kurt Landauer's bronze memorial was developed by the renowned Munich artist Karel Fron. Many pictures of the honorary president do not exist, if only the head and the upper body can be seen on them, which was a special challenge in the creation of the monument. Today Kurt Landauer is once again sitting life-size on a bench with the best view of his life's work. The position of Kurt Landauer's left hand is reminiscent of the pose of Michelangelo's famous David statue, as a symbol of the outsider's victory over the tyrant Goliath, as well as a reference to his Jewish origins. Kurt Landauer leans his right hand on the concrete bench - over a gap that - if you see the bench as a timeline - stands for the break of civilization, National Socialism. The time over which our Honorary President builds a bridge. The concrete bench is not only curved like a fan curve in which Kurt Landauer sits among the fans, as a segment of a circle it stands for the fact that history has returned to him, for his rediscovery. The badge of honor from our club should not be missing on the Landauer jacket. It was only 19 months from the original idea to the inauguration and we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made this project possible. On May 22, 2019, the memorial was ceremoniously unveiled by Uri Siegel, the then 96-year-old nephew of Kurt Landauer and honorary president of our foundation, and Uli Hoeneß, the president of FC Bayern. Since then, many photos have been taken of FC Bayern fans visiting the training grounds with Kurt Landauer, which can be seen again and again in many photo albums and social media - so that this story will never be forgotten.

Ein wichtiges Aufgabenfeld der Kurt Landauer Stiftung ist die Pflege der Grabstätten von Personen, die sich um den FC Bayern München verdient gemacht haben. Uns geht es dabei vor allem auch um Personen, die viel für den Verein geleistet haben, jedoch nicht immer im Fokus standen. GRAVE CARE An important area of responsibility of the Kurt Landauer Foundation is the care of the graves of people who have made a contribution to FC Bayern Munich. For us, it is primarily about people who have achieved a lot for the club, but are not always in the focus. We don't want to forget these either and hold up the memory of them. At the moment we have taken care of the maintenance of five graves or financed restoration work. KURT LANDAUER (1884-1961) In 2017 we took over the care of the Landauer family's grave of Kurt Landauer's nephew Uri Siegel in the New Israelite Cemetery. In addition to the seasonal flower planting, we have also carried out major restoration work. In 2019, the large gravestone had to be laboriously dismantled and rebuilt by a stonemason, and a new foundation laid in order to ensure stability. In 2020 we also had the grave rebuilt, it was straightened and new yew trees were planted, so that today you can find a worthy burial site for our honorary president and his family. MARIA MEISSNER (1911-2008) In autumn 2018 we took over the care of Maria Meissner's grave in the north cemetery, which we had newly constructed and have been maintaining since then. The unique story of Maria Meissner as a pioneer of women's football, the good soul of FC Bayern on Säbener Strasse and “mother” of the trophies, which she looked after into old age, will make her unforgettable. HERRMANN SCHOOL (1884-1970) Since 2019 we have been taking care of the large family grave of the Schülein family in the New Israelite Cemetery. In coordination with the cemetery administration of the Israelitische Kultusgemeinde we carry out cleaning work and pruning plants. Herrmann Schülein, who came from the Jewish brewing family Schülein, was a member and a major sponsor of FC Bayern since 1927. He followed in the footsteps of father Joseph, became general director of Löwenbräu, developed it into the largest Bavarian brewery until he had to resign from his position in 1935 under pressure from the Nazis and fled to America. From there, too, he continued to support his Bavarians, including in 1954 through financial support for the expansion of the sports facility on Säbener Strasse. JOSZEF ZSAMBOKI (1933-2011) We were referred to this grave of our former player by a Bayern fan who noticed it in the Ostfriedhof and who knew our projects. Joszef Zsamboki was very successful in hunting goals for FC Bayern in the Oberliga Süd from 1957-1960, and then played in Kassel and Strasbourg. After his career, Zsamboki moved back to Munich. We found out that the costs for the burial were borne by the city of Munich and in 2019 we had the right to care for the grave site transferred to us. We obtained a special permit from the city in order to be able to integrate a memorial stone with the Bavarian coat of arms here. With the local nursery, we also took care of the new construction and planting of the grave. HEINRICH BERLINER (1903-1940) Heinrich Berliner - Munich resident, FC Bayern supporter, club member and always happy to attend his Bayern's games in the stadium - one of us you and me, one of us. But the life of Heinrich Berliner, which began on April 24, 1903 in Munich, did not turn out like ours due to his Jewish roots, but ended hopelessly in suicide on November 9, 1940 due to humiliation and disenfranchisement by the Nazis. Through research by FC Bayern we became aware of Heinrich Berliner's biography. During a visit to the New Israelite Cemetery in Munich, we looked at the grave of Heinrich Berliner, where the name and the dates on the tombstone were barely recognizable. The restoration of Heinrich Berliner’s tombstone offered by us was accepted with great thanks.
